Holy fuck CAXX's impersonation of Raven was spot on! I really enjoy this show, it's interesting to see ZONE do non porn stuff. And CAXX as the voice of Zone-Tan is a perfect match, in my opinion.

"We have such sights to show you"

god, i loved this. I've watched it three times now! i have nothing really constructive to say, although it appears your animation skills are steadily improving and of course, I really dig your style. Voice acting was great as always, you two are an amazing duo. Your sense of humor/horror are right up my alley too. One thing of note - Caxx's facial expression when she gets up to barf and tells redminus to move is really great, the attention to detail and the way it captured her horror and disgust were spot on. It really stuck out to me. Anyway, I'll top gabbing. Thanks for another entertaining animation you guys.

i lol'ed out of my chair

i wasn't sure what to expect, since there is SOOO much to parody about that game. I mean, Jeff already did one just on all the stupid shit your partner says while driving around. The whole drawing thing, it makes sense only in the context of this is a game and you sometimes need the visual, but in a real life context, that shit would be so ridiculous. as far as animation and voice work, great job as usual, nothing to complain about there. ^__^

straight adaptation

I'd never heard of VG Cats before I watched this. So I looked at the specific comic this is based off of, and you know what, this is actually an excellent adaptation. The animation was all clean and true to the original designs. The voice acting was all great as well. Many have complained about Ms. Stroble's work, I think it was more or less spot on. Perhaps her annoyance and anger could be amped up a tad, but it works for me as is. In that respect, I'd change nothing. However, you should be clear that this is in no way shape or form a parody, it is a straight adaptation, line by line, scene by scene even. I think making that clear to your viewers would help you get less blams, though probably not by much. :P As for originality, I'm torn. Adaptation is a valid artform, it happens all the time, but in those cases, it is sanctioned. This is not (you said so yourself), which makes it stealing, even though you've sourced it. Usually, for straight copying somebody else's work, I would give you a zero. However, looking at their site, I get the feeling they wouldn't really care, since they already have audio adaptations and such. SO, since there seems to be a culture of free-sharing, I'll give this a fair score. But it would be nice to see you do your own work and not just take from somebody else.

I think the main reason that the voice acting sounded off was because the voices were done back in 2004 (i think) and Omahdon didn't really get into the whole VG Cats thing until 2009.

good suggestions though. I actually do have some original ideas in my head, just need to get them onto my computer. Voicing it will be the hardest part

Gun in a Can Gun in a Can

not bad

the idea was really solid, which I liked, and it was actually kinda funny. you definitely need to work on your animation, especially the "can" it just looked like a circle with a dark grey L on it. as for the audio, yeah, the BGM is way too loud and drowns out the voices. open the file up in whatever sound editor you have and decrease the volume at least by 1/4. if you don't have a sound editor you can download Audacity for free.

Thanks I appreciate the advice. Apparently there are a couple issues with the audio. I'm gonna see what i can do about the levels th problem is that the music and voices are on the same file.

they strike again!

this was hilarious and totally unexpected. the two of you make an excellent team, and your sense of humor and style of comedy is fresh and interesting. redminus' animation style and confident directing create an eye-catching animation, especially the intense staring contest at the end. the work is clean and professional and has that particular redminus style which sets it apart. it isn't just a cheap anime knock off or imitation, there are subtleties unique to a redminus work. of course, the visuals are only one half of the charm. caxx's excellent voice work and vocal versatility sells the audience on ditzy Morrigan but also keeps her personality and dialogue funny and comical and not just plain annoying. the script of course plays a big role in that as well, but the execution can make or break any script. caxx shows that she can voice a range of characters, regardless of what her actual personality is. keep up the great work both of you!!!

great work

alot of reviewers feel like this is too short and too simple. perhaps that is the case, but for me, short and simple does not prohibit this from being absolutely amazing. your black on white - white on black music vids are mesmerizing, i love all of them. its obvious to me that you know exactly what you're doing, so don't listen to those idiots who can only like things that have tits or explosions or violence and gore. you have serious style and skills. can't wait to see more.

more, jesus christ more

they were all great, absolutely excellent writing and you nailed the timing on all of them. sometimes, i watch a skit and i know what the person wanted to do but they missed the mark, and the punch line lands too early or too late, you know? but that didn't happen once, you nailed it. i loved the first skit, and if that had been all you still would have gotten 5/5 and 10/10 out of me, but then it kept going and it kept getting better. the cape one was just so random and fun. the dog one was good too. of all of them, the last skit about the flamethrower was the least funny. it would be great, though, if after the flamethrower and his rambling, he seriously injures someone with the stapler instead. ^__^ please make more, stop motion is awesome and these were so well done. and fuck Neophyte-Ronin, this shit is awesome, who cares if its 18 mb, it was funny as hell! plus, of course its going to be a big file, those are stills taken with a camera, which is a helluva lot bigger (in terms of bytesize) than vector art done in flash.

Terminator2 animated Terminator2 animated

Rated 2 / 5 stars

poor quality

i've been to your site, watched a few of the things you've made, and overall, i find the animation all lacking quality. very little seems to be animated in flash directly, what is animated in flash is done poorly. and you can't blame it all on exporting, it's that you're mixing mediums in a way that isn't optimal. importing raster images into a vector based system is never going to work out quite right. you can get away with using static images as backgrounds, but if you intend to have these elements move around in the scene, it looks terrible. an obvious example is when the police car door opens near the beginning. it just doesn't look clean at all. more than that, it seems like the majority of the characters are still images imported from Photoshop or a similar raster based image program. and while they probably all looked really nice as still images, when you have them moving around on screen they look terrible, they don't look like animated characters walking/running/shooting etc. they look like still images, like cardboard cutouts. The walking animation on the Terminator while in the hallway was just awful. She's obviously made of three parts - head, shoulder, and hair. the three elements move independently of each other to create the illusion of movement. it's just all very lazy. its not easy to make a quality animation. i've dabbled in it myself, and found that just to get a minute or two of animation can take hours. it's hard work, it requires patience, but the finished product is worth it. try to learn how to animate in flash, without rotoscoping or tracing of any kind, without cgi gimmicks or imported utilities from photoshop or wherever. flash is a powerful tool, combined with the abilities you already have you can go far with it if you put time and effort into using it to the fullest extent. despite all the criticism, i kinda like this. you have a wonderful 90s anime style that i am fond of. the 3D effects, especially the fire and explosion and even the smoke were all very good. you may have copied the majority of this from T2, but you also have your own directorial sensibilities, which shows up here and there in this. its unfortunate that all your talent gets hidden behind cut corners and cheap gimmicks.

I think the issue here is that I'm just starting to reach the point where my work is being featured and getting attention but its on the lower rung of the latter so to speak. If you looked at my site Im sure you've seen the slow but steady progress made over each video. I mean I agree that theres defiantly room to improve. Thats just kind of how it goes you know? :)

well, then

so, on the basis of the flash animation itself, i give you 10/10 and 5/5. really well animated and plotted out, loved the art direction and you did a wonderful job connecting the animation and the song. that said, FUCK! did the song make me wanna blow my brains out. Do you have any idea how much metal i'm gonna have to listen to just to get that song out of my system? :P
